New Tactics in killing

anyone have any? any new things that we as orcs could use to make us deadlier? Of course i have a few ideas but before i start spamming my own thoughts i wanna hear some of your improvements for clan PvP.

PvP tactics is like a wheel, we should try to recreate the wheel. No one has any ideas on making us bigger and nastier?

It was a wheel with UO:R. But we're on IPY. It's not a wheel. It's simply "magery 0wnz". And IPY staff thinks that having the PvP being only about 3-4 spells is what bring the most potential for a server.

Magery doesnt own. Doesnt even come close. The only reason orcs get owned most of the time when fighting a mage is because they are so poorly equiped.(the orcs) Most mages we fight are not good pvpers just gankers and when given even odds (or even odds slightly in the favor) they get schooled continuously as long as the orcs dont puss out as soon as it gets ugly.

Personally those few times i am able to go out on my melee char i always have several things whever possible. Trapped pouches (4 or more so they have to use up alot of mana to keep me froze) G Cure pots (5) Total refresh (4) Gheal (2 or so). My biggest luxery is the gexplo pots.

Since im a fencer/archer i use a heavey xbow with gm krysses poisoned by my alchy (gpoison)
Its crazy how much dmg heavey xbows and G explo pots do. Its easy to own mages and keep them on the defensive if u are fully equiped in this fashion.

Just the other day we were chasing 2 mages, somhow everyone else got lost and I was fighting them alone just by yew GY. They freeze me and my one pouch was used so i took out my heavey xbow and started hitting on his friend while they med up. Before they finished their first round of explo on me i had hit the mage 3 times and killed him. I charged the other with my kryss while i and he looted and got him poisoned and down to 50% health and he started running to town, i reequiped my heavy and hit him down to maybe 10% health as he was fully in the guard zone.

If i had had a explo pot he woulda died and with me taking less than 40% dmg, not fully equiped and just using my head when battling.

IMO Archery should be a MUST on all melee char orcs since it is soo usfull! We use it in fort defense and also when para'd. U can whip out a heavey xbow and start shooting a mage while healing a frozen comrade that is getting ready to be unloaded on.

Also another tip for those of us that have archery, Whenever u are chasing a oomie and a save is about to start make sure to equip ur bow or whatever as you will always get one shot off as the save ends.

with all this being said ive been working my mules as much as my main chars to help support my pvping. Make sure you also are doing your part. Alot of things u can gather resources or pay other orcs the base price of things and get hooked up. Dont let poor planning or equiping be the reason u get pwned all that time :lol:

Thanks for the tip on equippin the bow right before the world saves. I never thought of that and its a sweet free hit.

Lug uses nearly the exact same equip as you, substitute an excep bow for the heavy crossbow because my wife makes them for free, and add in an excep spear. After I poison them I love to switch to the spear to conserve the poison. Have 3 keys set up to insta switch between the 3 weapons, only tricky part is remembering to switch back to the kryss if you have to drink a potion. Keep stamina full at all times with them trs.

I've been having really good kills lately with the greater explodes. I think that is the "magery" Nug is referring to Xog. The macro is very deadly, sometimes for me as well as them. If they break line of sight it goes boom in your pack. I've made 2 different macros for throwing them. One with no delay (perfect if hes parad you and starts castin a combo. Switch to your bow and hit this macro and you hit him with a combo of your own) and one with a delay of 2.18 secs. After much testing that seems to be a good number for hitting them on the run and they are near your screen edge.
