Oh sorry I misunderstood. I thought that the branch was the clan but the way I understand it now is that Darkfall is a branch and UO is a branch etc. right?
Then I understand your concern better.

Yes each game is a different banch, each branch has different leaders but the war council still has the over all say at the end.

If all of your demands were met, then this merge would have little to no benefit for me or my clan.

25 solid, about 10 to 15 applications a month. We accept about 7-10 of em.

This makes us a medium-sized clan for Darkfall.

Were there any particular demands that you didn't see fit meeting?

This was my original view of the proposal:

I would be given my own tribe, to which all of my current members would be given membership to. I would also become one of the Darkfall Branch Leaders. In turn, we would provide you with more members, knowledge about Darkfall, and agree to follow all of your rules. These include roleplaying, only Orks, etc.

This is my current view of the proposal:

My members and I will have to apply and rise through the ranks like everyone else. When we have proven ourselves, I will be able to start a tribe. I will be just like any other member in the clan despite my hours and hours spent on building my own clan. The Darkfall Branch Leader position will become a popularity contest instead of being given to whom it was first promised.

So, in essence, we are simply disbanding our clan and applying to join yours if this merge occurs. I'm starting to feel that an alliance will serve both clans better than a merge.

Traditionally you must reach grunt rank to get your own tribe. Traditionally people joining your tribe must also be grunts. Traditionally to become a grunt you must be in the clan for a long time and complete a series of hard quests. As far as branch leadership goes, branch leadership is a very selective position that most long term UO players don't even receive. Take me for example, I've been in the clan for one year and still haven't reached grunt rank. Nor do I have any chance of serving as branch leader. However our situations are different, I didn't bring anything to the table except myself while you Sar'grath are bringing upwards of 25 members and perhaps some general Darkfall knowledge.

Yet I serve as a good example of why the average Bloodclan member would be hesitant or even insulted by the idea of someone instantly becoming a grunt, having all their friends instantly become grunts and on top of that being given a position of power that usually takes years to earn and is so selective that most long time Bloodclan members will not even reach it.

Here's what I would suggest:

Have another meeting with our War Council and your representatives and get clear, solid answers on core issues or concerns ie. Do I instantly get grunt status? Do my guildmates instantly get grunt status? If not can a deal be worked out where only myself or key figures get grunt status? Do I need to do quests like all grunts normally have to do ect.

On top of this I would recomend you start playing with us on our divinity branch asap to really get a sense of our clan structure and rp style to see if this is really a clan you want to work with. This would be your first step and by far your best move for showing respect and calming tensions with some of our more aggressive hostile members.

I have been trying to download mIRC and UO again, but my downloader on my computer isn't working. I'll try again later sometime.

I don't use mirc, infact I don't even know what it is. But you can get a copy of UO from RunUO.com - The RunUO Gaming Network. You'll need to download "playuo" and "razor", I've never had to download from here but I beleive you install playuo first then razor and open UO with the razor shortcut. Maybe someone else would know more, hope it works.
