Which Lore Background?

It seems from Sar'grath's post that there are three main lore backgrounds to choose from.

I. We side with Bighead of Flaming Skull

A. Against Arxanthos, the messenger of the Fire Dragon
1. Reason to believe the red dragon is a fraud
a. Constantly demands tribute of treasure and food

B. Main group called Iron Orks
1. Loyalty to the Bighead
2. Seem to want to take power from the Dragonbound


II. We side with Arxanthos, the messenger of the Fire Dragon

A. Resides in Emberhall
1. Requires tribute of treasure and food frequently
2. Recieves dreams from the goddess named Fire Dragon

B. Main group called Dragonbound
1. Fundamentalists that completely support Arxanthos the Red Dragon
2. Believe that Bighead is only a pawn


III. We side with the Guild of Thugs

A. Reduce Morak to an anarchy
1. Recieve free reign

B. Against both Bighead and the Dragonbound
1. Most likely means they are evil alligned


This is just a rough summary of what Sar'grath posted, if I left anything out please add to this. I just want to see where we are thinking of heading in terms of our lore.

I think we should have a combination by including all three in some way.

Flaming Skull seems to fit our background the best.

I'm starting to agree with the majority. Going with the Big Head will give us the opportunity to slay the Grand Messenger and worship the Bloodgod.

Not many votes in this poll compared to others, anyone that hasn't voted try to take a few minutes to think about this.

Would we have to choose one of these 3? Who is bighead? Would we call bighead Bluudgud? Why can't we make up our own backstory? The creators of DF would probably be glad if we contributed to the history of the world with our own lore/backstory. Right?

That is why I put an other option

I propose we don't join any of the three main sides. Reason being that we are Bloodclan. We aren't the Iron Orks, the Dragonborn or the Guild of Thugs.

As for the lore? We're savage, tribal and relentless in our worship of the Bloodgod. All other orks are merely tests of our faith to the Bloodgod. We spill their blood as devotion to him. Between the "forks" and oomies, there's no telling which are our most hated adversaries. That could be a tribal thing.

Now I know what you're thinking. "But Yog, we won't be able to go into Ork town and our status will drop amongst the Orkish race!!!"

Well, we can't go into town on UO and we survive. Other orcs come and go, but we're around forever and we can figure out ingenious ways to get supplies to our clan.

My goal with this is to stay so devoted to our Bloodgod's cause, that the DFO developers add the Bloodgod into the game. Just as Ryan and other GM's sometimes roleplayed the Bloodgod with us.
