Might I suggest using irc.runuo.com for the server to connect to, rather than www.runuo.com, in the case that the two part ways onto different servers :>

Anyone else having problems connecting to the chat? I wasn't having a problem the first time I connected, but everytime after that I have received the error "Connection Refused," even when I try connecting from a different IP address in a different state with a different nickname. I know the server is up and running fine because the IRC.RunUO site says there is currently 243 people connected. Any ideas? because the mIRC website is telling me this is a result of IRC.RunUO setting all connecting clients to connect back to their own computers instead of the RunUO server itself.

Did anyone end up with anything? I have tried about four irc programs and searched other forums, but still cannot find my answer. I know other people are able to connect and that the server is up, so I am still very baffled about the problem.

EDIT: After some more playing around, I think I found out what's wrong. It appears that my campus may be blocking my ability to connect to that IRC server for some odd reason because I can't even connect from the Linux computers in the Engineering building, which shouldn't be. I'm going to have to speak to IT about it then. *ugh*

There is many college campuses that do block IRC for some reason.

To everyone else! please promote IRC and our channel #orc. It's a great way to communicate and we already have 20 people in our channel daily.

Travian has IRC (along with the major IMs..aol, icq, msn)
