Spore is a open ended game where you make a critter that starts out as a molecule then evolves into a critter. While you play the "creature phase" you make small changes to your critter until you get to civilization phase, where it becomes an rts. You can design all your buildings and vehicles and crap to whatever you want.
Then its the space phase. You can play all around the galaxy and abduct creatures or make new planets by moving like ice comets and stuff into it to make water, ect.
The coolest thing is the game is constantly downloading animals from other peoples games. For example if you make a creature then someone elses game might have that creature in their game as a npc, or vice versa.
