Morningstar Trade Company

I figured I might as well post here the musings on the goblin Morningstar Trade Company, which I am kind of running at this point. Also, keep in mind that goblins on Grimmwold are a little more similar to Wacraft Goblins than UO Orcs.

The main inspiration for it is the WoW Goblin "Steemwheedle Cartel".

I propose two Corporate ladders, the Trader/Crafter ladder and the Enforcer/Goon ladder. These ladders overlap at the actual sales and distribution level, but the Traders are charged with creating product and the Enforcers are charged with providing security for caravans and ensuring overall protection of company interest.

So, it would be 2 guild titles to start at the base level (until we get more mebers).

Morningstar Trader
These are the crafters. Anyone who crafts gets this title from the start, further promotions will be discussed.

Morningstar Goon
These are the enforcers. They protect the traders, intimidate competitors, and perform resource collection where applicable (boomshrooms off of swamp tentacles, for example).

Does anyone have any further suggestions? We need to decide company color(s), and the further rank structure.

Can goons participate in raids along with the Goblin military (the marauders and scouts)?

Should we expect all/most goblins to be split between the military, the goons, and the traders? I wouldn't mind it if two thirds of goblins are part of the MTC.

Maybe we can have Marauder Goons or Scout Goons? What are your thoughts on this, Grog?

I can't really say. We don't want to gimp the town's military by restricting company employees from raiding, but we also don't want to burn all our bridges.

I'm guessing it'll depend on a town-by-town basis... Muckwater employees would probably encouraged to help with raids against Briar Hollow but not Zanzibar or Hamlein.

Lara actually wants us to shift our "conflict" driven RP away from Briar Hollow and onto Ulster. With *crosses fingers* some Yew guys forming a Militia there we should have more people to interact with in that town, as well as a revitialized city.

Briar Hollow is a newer player town and the Leaders there just don't want to deal with each and every newbie coming up to them demanding they do something different about the goblins *chuckle*.
