First of all, you have to create an account (which has to be approved) to play here. This ensures only roleplayers are on the server.
Apply for a trial account first. Trial accounts are approved (almost) instantly and let you play without waiting. We have been given special permission from the shard owner to create trial accounts to play Goblins. You will not have your skin color changed like the rest of us with full accounts, but we have masks for you to wear. You will be allowed to play on the trial account for one week, which is more than enough time for you to write a real app when you do end up wanting to play here.
Here is the trial account board. Apply for a forum account and use the template there to apply.

Here is the info how to apply for a full account.
Here is the racial information on Goblins. You will end up playing a goblin nearly exactly like you play your orc, but the in game lore surrounding goblins is a bit different and you'll probably need to look at this page
this page as a reference while writing your application.
Here is my own application which you may use as an example when creating your own.

Goblins overall on this shard are a mix of Warcraft Goblins, Warhammer Orcs, and UO Orcs. There is a really wide range of goblin personality from meek and skittish to bloodthirsty and brutish.
Right now the village of Muckwater (the goblin town) isn't very fleshed out, but the current plans are to have a town army and an independent trading company called the "Morningstar Trading Company", both of which are still deep in the planning stages. The MTC is heavily based on the "Steamwheedle Cartel" from World of Warcraft. You can read more about it here
Morningstar Trade Co.

Gameplay here is much different than regular UO. The current system that exists most resembles AOS combat- however, magic is very expensive to use and rare to see, and special moves are regulated by your class. Yes, class. When you get enough skillpoints in a class you can get a token for it, and as you level up in that class certain special moves become available to you (for example, Rogues get a backstab attack).
Skills are a lot harder to train, as unattended macroing is illegal, but you can get up to 70 weaponskill beating a training dummy and up to GM Archery/Tactics by shooting an archery butte. The way skillgain works is you only have to do a skillcheck every 2.5 minutes to gain the maximum amount- so you set your training macro to shoot the butte/hit the dummy + hide + stealth + whatever every 2.5 minutes. All of us who started friday are already GM in at least one skill and very close to GM in all our other primaries.
Crafting also benefits from the 2.5 skillcheck system- you don't have to create millions of items, you just create one every 2.5 minutes (which is easily done, as it takes 2 minutes of hammering to make most items anyway).

There are lots of great little things that make Grimmworld great. I really suggest you spend 10 minutes putting together an application and give it a try.
If you have any questions join us in the channel #grimm_goblins on the DarkMyst IRC network.
