do you think if i bought computer parts and made a computer I could sell it on ebay for profit?

I doubt it. What you need to do is find a niche. Ask your local friends, family, and neighbors what sort of product or service they wish they had. Maybe there is no car wash within 50 miles? That's just an example. Once you find the "need" then try to fill it. You might need a bank loan to start the business, but there is also an agency called the Small Business Administration that can help fund your business. They would probably even help you with your business plan, but you have to have an idea for what kind of business first. It does have to be a legal business...

Also, loans can be hard to get right now, so your best bet is a gubmint loan.

No. Computer manufacturer's sell everything dirt cheap now by using shitty parts. Anyone who cares about not having shitty parts generally buys one of the more expensive brands or builds it themselves.

The best thing you can hope to do is go to yard/garage/rummage sales, buy stuff dirt cheap, then turn around and sell it on ebay.

or get a real job for a business. I think the key is in order to make cash you need to work for it and I never hear of anyone being able to sucessfully do that from home without some sort of scheme.

my gf's dad buys used/broken sound equipment on ebay then repairs them or bundles them into sets and sells them back on ebay. He pulled in like $80,000 last year. Granted that wasnt all profit but even at 40% profit that is still $32,000 for sitting at home doing whatever he feels like.

Something like that could work, i dunno about computer parts though. As grognak explained there is to much competition in that field. And dont try to do sound equipment, or ill be in hot water.

lol thats a nice gig for your gf's dad :) im gonna work eventually doing medical coding but for the mean time im screwing around trying to find extra ways to get money oh well lol guess i'll just have to step up my poker game :)
