Gruntee and Pug status

Vrang, for your problem with the pugs, I am pretty sure that gruntees can kill pugs as a punishment for acting up, or at least thats what I was taught. A couple pugs going flat every now and then is a way to keep them in line.
Just make sure they dont outnumber you lol.

We were told by Gug (the only high level person on at the time, but couldn't get in game) Gruntees couldn't punish, only teach which it seems to still be now. And I'm just a Pug myself, so I can do even less to help out with idiot pugs.

With that being said gruntees cannot hand out punishments.

Is the line I have a problem with. Does that include being klomped or just laps, gathering, etc? When Gruntees are the only ones on, they should have some greater powers than normal (No leading trips or anything like that, but calling fort D, laps, etc). If a gruntee is abusing power, we should do the same thing we do with grunts: RPV/Screenshot it and send to a higher rank. Just my dub shiniez.

I was told many many muunz ago (when I was a Pug) that gruntees are allowed to clomp pugs as punishment (Kthud told me this at the time) -- but that they couldnt give a formal punishment such as giving lapz or having them gather a resource.

Here's what I posted in that War Council thread:

There has always been a grey area here with pug and gruntee for me. I have always known it to be that pugs must listen to gruntees, but they cannot be punished by them. Gruntees can call a line up for pugs and teach them, but not klomp them or punish.

I think that gruntee SHOULD be able to do small punishments and klomp a moronic pug. The problem is, pugs are stupid and dont know much normally. Whos to say the gruntee is just klomping pugs for no reason, or tasting a bit of power?

Grunts are hardened soldiers who know procedure and know the rules. Gruntees are on that path, but they either still mess up some, or are young.

We definitely need to clear this up. Im all for gruntees being higher than a pug rank and being able to hold pugs accountable for screwups, as long as its justified of course...

Well, of course.
If a gruntee was klomping orcs (pugs or otherwise) for no reason, I'd suspect they'd need demoted anyway. =P

ok, i havent had internet in a few months, and my accounts are possibly deleted, i had the rank as a gruntee, will i need to earn that rank again or can i just get the rank when i rejoin?

Just like any other rank would be demoted. <Insert cheesy spiderman quote here> Let the gruntees know that they have this extra power, but if they abuse it it can be taken away very quickly. If a gruntee can't punish a pug, what's the point of having introduced the pug rank to begin with? Just have us go back to all being gruntees.

So what does one need to do to be promoted to gruntee? I have recently finished my char and have many of the basics down pat. Been on many raids, and clomped my fair share of oomies.
