How to crop screenshots (free tool with instructions)

If you have no photocropping software available to you, you can go here and download a free tool. It's a 2mb download and pretty simple to use.

Free Cropping Tool

Download the 4th tool, FxFoto.

This post will show you how to install the program, and how to crop your images.

Double click the setup file for FxFoto where ever you saved it.

Choose Yes.

Choose Yes.

Uncheck all boxes except for the top one.

After installation, click Yes to run the program.

Click Add.

Click Add Image

Browse to the image you want to crop.

The image will now be displayed in the bottom, right-hand pane. Once its there, choose Crop.

A Selection Tool will be on your mouse cursor. Left-click and drag around the part of the image you want to crop out.

After you have you selection, click Crop Image.

You should now see the smaller part of the image you selected in the bottom, right-hand pane.

To save the cropped image:

Click Save.

Click Save Image As.

Click Yes.

Browse to the folder where you had the original picture and open it. You should now have the cropped image.

File>Run>mspaint comes with every Windows computer after 3.1. When you run that it comes up with a blank image you can edit.

If you're using Razor or another screenshot tool you can either go to File>Open and browse to the picture and then select it, or drag the file from the folder into the main window of Paint and it will open.

If you're using Razor or another screenshot tool you can either go to File>Open and browse to the picture and then select it, or drag the file from the folder into the main window of Paint and it will open.

If you just hit print screen and have no file on the hard drive, press CTRL+V to paste it into the window.

Hit Ctrl+A to select the entire image.

Click on the image somewhere and drag it to the top left until you've cropped that side sufficiently.

Click outside the selected area (usually the white part) and it will cancel the selection tool.

Go to the bottom right of the white part and drag that until you've cropped the other side sufficiently.

Go to File> Save as and save it as a new name (recommended) or simply click Save and it will overwrite the old image.

The cropped picture will now be named as that new image, or will have replaced the old one.
